4th - Louise A. Jackson attended the Missouri Library Association State Convention in Springfield, MO and spoke on the topic, "Recent Children's Books of the West". There was also a presentation and book signing.

10th - Civil War Roundtable (Greene Co. MO), "Soldier's Orphans' Homes" - 6:30 P.M. at The Library Center in Springfield, MO.

19th - The author was invited to speak at Drury University Childrens Literature Festival in Springfield, MO.

20th - The author was at a booksigning at Borders Bookstore in Springfield, MO from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

24th-26th - The author visited Laramie, Wyoming and went to Linford Elementary School and University School.

26th - Louise A. Jackson was honored with a "Distinguished Former Faculty Award" by the College of Education at the University of Wyoming.
