Here I am, on Easter Sunday, age 3, in front of the capitol building in Austin, TX. This was the year my mother taught me to read.
I am second from right with my cousins and Grandma Darter. I was eleven.
This is my 8th grade school picture. I was 12 and 1/2 years old.
(Some of these pictures aren't as clear as I would like. They are copies. We lost our photos in a house fire and relatives let us copy theirs. The copying process wasn't as good, then, as it is today.)
